Robert F. Guyett, 81, of 3840 E. Genesee St. Rd., Sennett, passed away at his home on September 8, 2014. Born in Auburn he was the son of the late Eli and Ethel Falle Guyett. He was a graduate of Auburn East High School and attended Auburn Community College. Robert was an Air Force Veteran serving his country from 1952 to 1956 stationed in Fort Worth Texas and traveling during the Korean Conflict to The Azores, Bermuda, French Morocco, Newfoundland, Labradore, Okinawa, Formosa, Japan and Korea. In 2002 he retired as Production supervisor with Zotos Corp. in Geneva, NY where he was employed for over 24 years . He was previously employed at Marshall Meadow & Stewart, General Electric in Auburn, Dunn & McCarthy and Ocram Corp.
He is survived by a daughter Dorie (Ken) Buchanan and by his two sons, Douglas (April) Guyett and Donald Guyett, a sister, Doris Bender, 8 grandchildren, Rachael, Gabrielle, Jessica, Douglas II, Amber, Christopher, Karen and Michelle, 8 great-grandchildren, Kaliegh, Landon, Lucas, Kameron, Emma, Alexis, Kevin, Corissa and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his five sisters, Gertrude Cooper, Alice Koon, Margaret Mahoney, Edith Silveira and Dorothy Gunsalus.
Friends are invited to visit the family on Wednesday, September 10 from 3-6pm at Langham Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 6pm. Burial with military honors will be in Fort Hill Cemetery the following morning at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Cayuga County Emergency Relief Fund which assists veterans and families in time of need, 95 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021.
