Dear Keith-&-Christy, Lori-&-Chris, Cheryl-&-James, John-&-Cindy, Ken and Family and Friends:
I was saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Joan on April 28, 2016. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but prayerfully at 78 years of age, it can be said of Joan what was said of Isaac at Genesis 25:39 "she died old and satisfied with days." Even though I did not know Joan personally, please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Bible that bring comfort, thoughts that others have shared with me when I lost loved ones.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sicknesses like cancer, and death--not God (Hebrews 2:14). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Joan (and countless millions of others, including Frederick, Leonard-&-Florence and Nicholas) will be resurrected to enjoy it! Remember Jesus' words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected." Until then Joan, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and healthy Joan. And, ... if you would ever like to know more about when and how our Creator Jehovah will bring about these wonderful blessings (or why He has allowed sickness, suffering and death since Adam and Eve sinned so long ago), please feel free to contact me at the address below.
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

When we think of Joan Crook, we are reminded of many happy times. Joan enjoyed friends and family . She was known in our neighborhood to always supply us with a campfire and goodies. She enjoyed seeing others happy. She loved camping in Indian Lake in the Adirondacks. She also liked bringing neighborhood kids on these camping trips. She exposed some of these children to their first encounter with bears in the Adirondacks. She also loved boat rides on Owasco Lake and bringing her children's friends and stopping off at the camp to have a picnic.
All of our Love,
Jimmy, Karen

Dear Keith, Lori, Cheryl and John. I was sad to hear of your mom's sudden death. She was a great lady, always good to me and mom when she was dying with cancer. I fondly remember us all growing up together and trips to Gaylords camp on Owasco Lake. I would see her frequently at Brigadier bingo. So many Owasco field days with them and oh so msny laughs. My favorite aunt. You all are in my prayers. My deepest and heart felt condolences.
