Dear Judy, Jacalyn-&-Gerald, David, Kristen, Jeffrey, Gregory-&-Erica, Charlene, Matthew-&-Heather, John, Gretchen, and Family and Friends:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Charles on Thursday, October 29, last year. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but prayerfully at 82 years of age, it could be said of Charles what was said of Isaac at Genesis 25:39, "he died old and satisfied with days." Even though I did not know Charles personally, please accept my deepest sympathy at this anniversary period of your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Bible that bring comfort, thoughts that others have shared with me when I lost loved ones.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sickness like cancer and heart disease, and death--not God (Hebrews 2:14). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Charles (and countless millions of others) will be resurrected to enjoy it! Remember Jesus's words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected." Until then, Charles, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and healthy Charles. And, ... If you would ever like to know more about when and how our Creator Jehovah will bring about these wonderful blessings (or why He has allowed sickness, suffering and death since Adam and Eve sinned so long ago), please feel free to contact me at the address below.
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

Dear Kristen and Mrs. Eddy, I am so sorry to hear about Charlie. He was a great man. To this day I have a piece of antique furniture that he re caned for me from my grandparents. Every time I look at it I think of him. I remember the times in his barn on Dunning Ave. He was a friend, and a mentor, and he will be missed. Rest in piece my friend.

So saddened to learn of Charlie's passing. I originally met Charlie back in the nineteen seventies through his co-worker Ralph Hawley, from whom I purchased lumber for my woodworking business. Charlie would stop by my shop, (then on East Genesee St.) and we would have many a pleasant discussion about furniture and woodworking.
I always admired his enthusiasm and obvious love of the woodworking craft which he became very, very good at.
In later years I'd run into him here and there and we would always have a wonderful conversation. Charlie was one of those folks that everyone was always glad to see, and that is a truly unique gift!
He will no doubt be missed by anyone who had the great good fortune to have known him.
You have my sincerest condolences.

Thank you Mr. Eddy for sparking my interest in the outdoors and the shooting sports. I will always remember when you would take Matt and I to the sportsmans club to learn how to shoot trap. Thank you for your patience and kindness. Jason Grove
