Dear John, David, Bill-&-Jodie, Clarence, Carl-&-Cecelia, and other Family and Friends:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Eugene on August 31, last year. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but prayerfully at 83 years of age, it could be said of Eugene what was said of Isaac at Genesis 25:39, "he died old and satisfied with days." Even though I did not know Eugene personally, please accept my deepest sympathy at this anniversary period of your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Bible that bring comfort, thoughts that others have shared with me when I lost loved ones.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sickness like cancer and heart disease, and death--not God (Hebrews 2:14). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Eugene (and countless millions of others, including beloved Christine) will be resurrected to enjoy it! Remember Jesus's words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected." Until then, Eugene, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and healthy Eugene. And, ... If you would ever like to know more about when and how our Creator Jehovah will bring about these wonderful blessings (or why He has allowed sickness, suffering and death since Adam and Eve sinned so long ago), please feel free to contact me at the address below.
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

I still fondly reflect on my experiences with the Bobbett family as I worked on their farm when I was growing up. I wish time allowed us to stay more in contact over the years. Eugene was a very friendly and sincere person and I appreciated the way he treated me whenever I saw him. I want to express my sincere condolences to the entire Bobbett family and wish them well in the future and don't forget the good times that they had as a family as well as the loved ones that have passed. As we become older we begin to realize how short life really is and reflect fondly on the people that we had touch our lives in the past and present.
God Bless

As a trap shooter for Baldwinsville, I enjoyed the many years of shooting trap with Gene. He was always a gentleman and fun to shoot with. When I see "Bobbett Field" at Weedsport I always think of him. I still see his brother Carl every week shooting trap and I extend my condolences to the entire family.
