Obituary of Joan E. Taylor

Joan E. Taylor, 93, of Cayuga, passed away Friday, October 31, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Born in Rochester, NY she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Zella (Elmore) Emery. Joan was a graduate of Union Springs High School and retired from Union Springs Central High School where she was the school's secretary for many years. Joan was an active communicant and volunteer of the Episcopal Church of SS. Peter and John in Auburn and enjoyed spending time at her Cayuga home with her family. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband Neal C. Taylor in June of this year. Joan is survived by two daughters Pamela and Kathleen Perkins; four step sons, Randy, Rod, Gary and Kim Taylor; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 5 at 11AM at Sts. Peter & John Episcopal Church, 169 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions in Joan's memory may be made to the above church she so loved.
