Obituary of Martin Michael O'Shea
Martin Michael O'Shea, 33, of Wickliffe, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023 in Ohio. Born in Binghamton, NY, Martin was the son of Kevin Martin and Ramona (Decker) O'Shea.
He was a 2008 Auburn High School graduate. He received a bachelor's degree in physics from SUNY Geneseo in 2012 and was employed as a software engineer. Martin had a love for music, often writing his own music and collaborating with other musicians. He taught himself how to play the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his older brother, Sean O'Shea and several aunts and uncles. He was closest to his uncle Brian O'Shea whom he spent countless good times with at his cottage on Owasco Lake. Days were filled with fishing, boating, swimming and enjoying campfires while roasting marshmallows by the lake. Everyone always enjoyed Martin's wonderful fireworks displays on the 4th of July.
Martin is also survived by his many aunts and uncles, John (Debbie), O'Shea, Maureen (Robert) Rude, Eileen, Donald (Patricia) O'Shea, James and Bruce Decker as well as countless cousins and friends.
Martin was predeceased by an uncle Brian T. Decker, maternal grandparents Raymond and Mary Decker and paternal grandparents Martin and Shirley O'Shea.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). The family will receive friends and families at St. Alphonsus Church on Saturday, January 6 from 11am to noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:15pm.
