I was Lynne Hess, now Lynne Scott.l when I first met Dave as a child. My sisters and I met Dave’s 4 daughters in the early 1970’s. We could relate to each other as our life’s were both challenging. You could see the pain that Dave and the girls had, with no Mom and no wife. The years were long. Dave’s pain grew deeper as the girls grew up and left to start living their own lives.
I became a single Mom very young and Dave played a large part in helping me gain my confidence back. As I was eager to still go to college he spent several months with me as we learned algebra and trig together!
As years passed Dave was always part of our family, and we enjoyed seeing him for all the holidays and special occasions. I’ll always remember Dave as a sweet, kind, soul . I’m sorry I wasn’t there to thank him for everything and say goodbye. My thoughts and prayers to his family. Love, Lynne
