Her daughter Dee Dee and I grew up together and shared many wonderful memories. I remember fondly looking forward to being invited to the Day home for the Sunday meal after church out in their farm. My consolescenes To Dee Dee, Dick and family at this time of loss. Such a wonderful lady.

Pat was such a sweet lady, exemplifying Christ in every way. I was so privileged to get to know her and learn from her, especially her love for missionaries. So sorry for your loss, but rejoicing with you that she is now with her Lord.

I loved Past Day like a mother and a dear friend! I grew up with her son,Dick, who was also my husband's best friend!!!
I became best friends with Dick's wife, Esther, and have many fond memories at the farmhouse with Pat and Bill, Dick, Dee Dee, and Crystal, Melissa, and Andrew!!!-They are very special friends indeed!!!
Part was such a kind, loving, Christian woman with a very big heart for serving in the kitchen at church and at home!!!-She will be sorely missed, but Heaven has gained yet another wonderful servant!!!
My prayers are with you all, dear friends!!

Pat Day was a wonderful lady. I attended Second Baptist Church with her. I was a student in the 5 & 6 year old Sunday School class she taught with two other wonderful ladies. It was in that class, and because of their love for children and great teaching that God used to bring me to trust Jesus Christ as my Savior. As I was older at the church and involved in Pioneer Girls, part of that time she was my "Pal" (an older mentor and friend to a girl in the program) for many years. She was always so kind to me. Sitting here typing, I just turned my head to see the items of sewing I need to get done soon. All of my thread is still stored in the plastic, brown, thread caddy she gave me one year. Though it isn't a "work of art" and the latch doesn't hold too well, I've never replaced it. It is functional, but more importantly, it is a constant reminder of her and her genuine love & kindness for me. Dick & DeDe, I am sorry for your loss. You had a godly, sweetheart for a mother.

I remember Mrs. Day from Second Baptist Church. I went to that church for many years. She was very nice. I read that she lived in Throop and that her family lived in different parts of the country. That must have been difficult for her. I know as a mother myself and having adult children living far away from home that it is often very lonely and sad and not being able to see your grandchildren. I am glad to see that she kept herself busy with her social responsibilities to the community through church. May you have many fond memories of her...Lois Terino Gray - Cato, New York

Sorry for your loss. My name is Brian Lynn. Pat was an awesome lady. I served along side her in the hospitality committee. One memory that I will always have is each time I would go to throw away a plastic grocery bag, she would gently remind me that we save them over there in the cupboard. She was always so pleasant and easy to talk to. I looked forward to talking with her in the foyer every Sunday.
