Obituary
Obituary of Peter G. Restey
Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peter G. Restey, 62, passed away June 10, 2019 at University Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Paul and Virginia Restey.
Peter is survived by his children Virginia M. Restey, Mary Jane Cornacchia, and Zachary Bennett Restey; his siblings Mary Taylor Navarro, David, Paul, John, and Mark Restey and their families.
Peter lived his life on his own terms surrounding himself with people he enjoyed. His laughter was music and his words were wisdom. His travels were endless and his encounters beyond memorable. Music was his life and his true passion. His goal in life was to keep music and stage performances alive for future generations. He worked with bands such as Black Sabbath, Manowar, and Ronnie James Dio. He was a brilliant man, a technical genius and most importantly, a friend to all. Our father smiled like he had never cried, loved like he had never been hurt and lived like there was no tomorrow. Keep it rockin on the other side Papa!
Visitation for Peter will be Friday, June 21 from 11am to1pm at Langham Funeral Home, LLC. If you wish, the family requests that you bring a written favorite memory or story that you may have of Peter. They will read each of them at a later time. A private family burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter's name to the American Heart Association or to a music program of your choice.
