Ray Thomas DeLand, Jr., "Tom", of 2950 Holland Dr., Auburn passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Ray Thomas and Hazel Irene (Hudson) DeLand, Sr. Tom attended Auburn schools and was the owner of RT DeLand Construction Co., Inc where he worked with his late wife Patricia. He was an avid golfer and member of Highland Golf & Country Club and Dutch Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed hunting bowling and bird watching, making sure the feeders were always full for the visiting cardinals and hummingbirds. He was a member of the Auburn Elks Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Dunster; three grandchildren, James Dunster (Sarah Hogan), Meghan and Lauren Dunster and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife Patricia DeLand in October 2017 and by his sister Joyce Pullen.
