Dear Nancy, Linda and family, I was so sorry to learn that Ed had died. I had many good memories of Phyl and Ed over the years and I know that you did as well. I trust that your memories and the love of your family and friends will help you during this time of sorrow.
I know that his quality of life over the past few years was not what we wanted for him, nor that he would have wanted. But we can rejoice in knowing that he is at peace and reunited with his beloved Phyllis, Mike and Tom.
Please know that you are all in my prayers.
Love, Steve

Dear Linda, Nancy and family,
Please accept our sympathies in the loss of your dad. Thirty eight years ago this very week we went on a spur of the moment camping trip with Ed and Phyl (and Linda) to Maine's Acadia National Park. Such great memories of that trip and the subsequent trip, again this same week, in August 1980. Bass Harbor Campgrounds, Cadillac Mountain, Geddy's Pub, The Mary Jane, a stop in Boston on the way home....
Your parents were of genuine stock and simply fun to be with. The memories of our times with them will forever be vivid and fond. Acadia remains one of our favorite repeat vacation destinations today. We have truly been blessed to have known your dad and your mom.
Sincerely,
Tom and Mary Ellen Corcoran

For 23+ years, Ed and Phyll were our neighbors. They were simply the best--kind, generous, dependable, and loving. We miss them both but know they are together again. May they both rest in peace! Thanks for such good memories. Our condolences to the entire Hearns family. Our hearts are heavy.
