Helene K. Grant, 92, of the Boyle Center, Auburn, passed away March 8, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Liberty Corners, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Wesley and Kathryn (Chilson) Kehler. She was a 1941 Auburn East High School graduate and was employed at the former Dunn & McCarthy and Bowen & Sawyer companies. She retired from McGrath & Co where she was a secretary from 1970 to 1977. Helene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Auburn and a former member of Auburn Country Club. She was a RSVP volunteer in her younger years as well as a den mother at Owasco Elementary school. While residing at the Boyle Center, she entertained others by playing the organ. She is survived by a daughter Linda (Frederick) Forbes; a son William (Janet) Grant; a brother Dr. Philip (Dr. Marietta) Kehler; six grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Helene was predeceased by her husband George M. Grant; a son, Dean Grant, a brother Charles Kehler and by a sister Lucille Burke. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Monday, March 13 at Langham Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Helene's name to The Hospice of the Finger Lakes or to American Heart Association.
