Obituary of Mary C. Maloney
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary C. Maloney, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Doris (Baird) Carpenter. Mary was a 1959 Central High School graduate and was previously employed with Boyle & Anderson Law Firm. She retired from the State of NY Surrogates Court as Judge Contiguglia's legal secretary.
Mary loved to laugh, read, sit by the ocean and shop, especially when she found a great deal! She loved to entertain, had a gift for gab and was generally the life of the party. She loved her family and was a friend and protector to all, always wanting what was best for others and shielding her friends and family from harm.
She loved her grandchildren dearly and always made deals with them that would make their parents mad... but she was the grandma. She tried to be cool and text things using acronyms that she would make up and no one else would know. Her favorite was Lol which she thought meant Love U Lots. This was sent many times in situations where LOL, as we know it, didn't make sense or was inappropriate. However, LOL, fits so well for you, no matter how we take it.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Albert T. Maloney, Jr.; her children, Jennifer (Kenneth) Krafft and Robert (Kathleen) Maloney; a sister Caroline (Frank) Carberry; four grandchildren, Katherine and Kenneth Krafft and Marielle and Magnolia Maloney and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Carpenter and by two nieces and a nephew.
A Memorial Mass will be held March 18 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church with burial to follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mary's memory may be made to McHarrie Life, 7740 Meigs Rd., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
