To the family of Nancy Ward that she loved beyond words, I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to you all. My husband Vic was a resident at Mercy, now the Commons, for 8 years and I had the pleasure to get to know Nancy. We chatted daily and I enjoyed many of her stories.( Especially the Neil Diamond ones). She was a fun loving person that will be sadly missed. Please accept my condolences and let the memories you have help to ease your pain.
Sincerely,
C

I worked with Nancy at the Commons. We often talked about her kids & grandkids & how she always had food for them & their friends whenever they dropped by, which sounded like often! That's when she got me addicted to couponing & the tricks to it! She always talked about her pond, cabin, dogs & horses as well. She'd bring in beautiful pictures to show me her pond, she loved that! And then we'd talk forever about crafting, she had so many great ideas! I loved how she made a window for her cubicle in the basement & kept adding to it, she made a girl on a swing to be outside her "window". She was crazy fun, she loved the residents, she always was coming up with new, great ideas. I loved her plan for retirement in a foreign country (can't remember which one), but she had it all figured out! I miss her terribly, I will always remember her, especially when I'm crafting & couponing!

It is with a heavy heart we mourn the loss of a colleague and friend. Nancy molded the TR department with "tough love," guidance, and a passion for serving our elders. She taught me everything I know and I will forever be grateful. I will miss her stories and kind, giving heart, may she rest easy.

I want you to know that Nancy will definitely be missed!
I worked with Nancy for many years at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation.
She definitely had a great love of her grandchildren and talked of them often.
