Obituary of Evah Louise Wright

Evah Louise Wright, 91, of 23 Bradford St., Auburn, passed away at her home on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in Greenridge, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Henry and Eliza Virginia (Barnes) Bennett. Evah was an inspector for Auburn Spark Plug during the time of WW II and later was employed as an inspector with Geneeral Products in Union Springs from 1966 to 1983.
Evah enjoyed playing the piano and guitar and loved listening to country western music. She spent many an hour keeping busy with a good cross word puzzle and enjoyed canning from her own garden. She attended Auburn United Methodist Church and showed love and kindeness to everyone she met. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and she will be missed.
She is survived by her two children, Gary Wright of Auburn, Louise Grappaldi and her husbnad Nicholas of New Jersey, a granddaughter Christina Grappaldi of New Jersey, three great grandchildren, Brittney Louise Grappaldi and Rebecca and Kendall Finnegan all of New jersey and many nieces and nephews from New york and Maryland.
Evah was predeceased by her husband Lincoln Wright in 1996, a granddaughter, Lisa Grappaldi Finnegan, two brothers, Paul and Watson Bennett and by her twin sister Elba Keller.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 12 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Langham Funeral Home, LLC, Auburn. Funeral services will be held Friday at at 10AM at Auburn United Methodist Church. 99 South St., Auburn with Rev. Leroy Kettinger officiating. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery.
