Lora L. Mitchell, 46, of Port Byron, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 quietly with her husband and family by her side following a brief illness. She was born in Auburn, NY and was a graduate of JCB High School in Phoenix, NY. Lora enjoyed music of all kinds and was an avid reader. She loved spending time boating and fishing on Cayuga Lake and going to the dirt race tracks. She will miss her many kitties whom she referred to them all as her "fur babies". Lora was employed as a book keeper for Lakeland Equipment in Savannah, NY.
She is survived by her husband Charles Mitchell; her mother Elizabeth (Betty) BarRelle Goldsworthy and step father Robert Goldsworthy; a brother John Goldsworthy; in-laws, Charles and Gertrude (Trudy) Mitchell; a brother- in- law Scott Mitchell; a niece Alexis (Lexie) Mitchell ; a nephew Seth Mitchell and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Marvin Hopper.
Friends are invited to visit the family on Wednesday, January 25 from 3-6pm at Langham Funeral Home, LLC, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn with services to follow at 6pm.
