Obituary of Glenn Michael Palmer
Please share a memory of Glenn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dr. Glenn Michael (Mike) Palmer, 54, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 2nd 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer. He was a gentle man who lived his life with love, unselfishness and complete kindness to others, a gift we know will live on with those who loved and knew him. Born in Needham, MA, he is the son of the late Dr. George Burton Palmer and Sally A. Sholler. Mike is a graduate of Danvers High School, Dartmouth College where he captained the hockey team, studied pre-med at Harvard University, and graduated from Albany Medical College. During his career he was a Radiologist at Community General Hospital, Auburn Memorial Hospital, and Crouse Radiology Associates. By far he deemed his greatest pride and accomplishment in life to be that of his loving family. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and two sons. It was his priority in this life and together they have created loving memories that will last a lifetime. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Elaine Nethercott Palmer, his two sons of which he was so proud Shawn and Jeffrey, and his four siblings, Shari Palmer, Laurie (Joe) Portera, Burt (Kay) Palmer, and Susan (Tom) Laur. Also surviving are his in-laws Bob and Madeleine Nethercott, and brother-in-law Andy (Kass) Nethercott, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to visit the family on Thursday, May 5 from 4 -7pm at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10AM at First Presbyterian Church, Skaneateles followed by a private family burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles.
